Multiple Intelligences
An intelligence is a strength which you use as a tool to do something important.

Intelligent Use of Time

School is about many things concerning the growth and development of students. One important element of this process is marks. Most of us find with school subjects, the more we know the better we like it and the better the grades we get.  As with anything, the more time we spend learning intelligently, the more we become engaged. What is 'learning intelligently'?

We all face the issue of 'enough time' to get things done. The things we want to do take up the time for the things we need to do or vice-versa.  We need more time. Where can we find it?

Here are some TIPS (some repeated!):

  • Understand that you can only do three things really well at any given time. So sports, arts, computer, hanging out, shopping, serious relationships, TV, all can take major time. If you want to succeed academically, you must choose academics as a major time commitment, and then chose the others. (See: http://www.l2l.ca/site/resources_ppp1.php)

And remember...

  • Take natural breaks from studying - each half hour or so.
  • Use the 'mind clearing' exercise from: http://www.l2l.ca/site/resources_ppp2.php
  • Use soft classical music to distract the right brain chatter: no vocal, just orchestral: Bach, Handel, Haydn, Vivaldi or contemporaries.
