Yasmeena Mohamed (BA. LLB)
Yasmeena Mohamed, a Certified Arbitrator and Mediator, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. Ms. Mohamed holds a LL.B from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, LLB from Queen’s University and an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) certificate from the University of Windsor. Ms. Mohamed is currently appointed as a full-time Vice-chair at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Prior to her appointment to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ms. Mohamed practiced as an arbitrator, mediator and workplace investigator in all sectors of labour, employment and human rights law. Ms. Mohamed was also appointed as a full-time member of the Ministry of Labour’s list of grievance arbitrators, a part-time member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and Vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Prior to her appointment as an arbitrator, Ms. Mohamed worked as senior litigation counsel for the Ministry of Government Services, Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. In her spare time, Ms. Mohamed volunteers on various non- profit, charitable organizations.
